Bloody hell.

Six hours or so after the final whistle and I still can't believe what I witnessed earlier this evening. I'd like to be able to say "well done" to Wales but, frankly, I can't - because, equally frankly, Wales didn't play very well at all. In the end they didn't have to.

From a seemingly impregnable position, with the forwards absolutely dominant and the backs creating (although not converting) chance after chance, England pressed the self-destruct button midway through the second half and the Welsh were pretty much handed their victory.

Injuries may have played a part but nothing really can explain the size of the capitulation.

Perhaps tomorrow may bring some perspective but, right now, I'm utterly shellshocked.

Hi Flanker, I watched this game today after recording it yesterday. I STILL cannot believe my eyes with what I saw play out at Twickenham. Wales was INSIPID for 60 minutes. to be down like 19-3 or 19 -6 and come back in an international match is pretty rare. England looked like a team that somebody just pulled the plug. If Wales does not win another game in the 6 Nations, that win against England made their season. I don't know if I have ever seen anything quite like it.

I'm glad you feel that way Nursedude because, with various media hailing a fantastic second half performance from Wales, I was beginning to doubt what I'd seen. Wales weren't even close to - thy were merely competent in the 2nd half because that's all they had to be. England's 2nd half, by contrast, was the mother of all chokes... move over NZ, that crown's ours now.
