Also have played the following week having been sent off by the ref when concussed. It was 2 weeks off the park with concussion even then.

Enough - they got caught.Geoffreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05823957329719779410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7101694739527706614.post-39148867499554209812010-04-04T18:43:14.029+01:002010-04-04T18:43:14.029+01:00It's a fair cop guv'.It's a fair cop guv'.Geoffreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05823957329719779410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7101694739527706614.post-5913835896518133392010-04-04T16:10:40.110+01:002010-04-04T16:10:40.110+01:00So faking a leg injury by limping is better than f...So faking a leg injury by limping is better than faking a mouth injury by biting a blood capsule? It's cheating either way, and it's always been in the game. Professionalism just means more cameras and more scrutiny on players so more things are noticed. The vast majority of dirty play has been stamped out (lol) of the game since the earlier years of things like the Lions' '99 call' etc.RedYetihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13317340168944542560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7101694739527706614.post-35270491316501437512010-04-04T15:18:37.414+01:002010-04-04T15:18:37.414+01:00Time for rolling subs!?Time for rolling subs!?Hawk Eyehttp://www.bathrugbyinsideout.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7101694739527706614.post-3926303214725679672010-04-03T14:10:12.650+01:002010-04-03T14:10:12.650+01:00I guess so, but it's cheating after all - that...I guess so, but it's cheating after all - that's the professional game for you. I played in the amatuer days so I am convinced, sadly, that rugby is going the same way as assoc. football.Geoffreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05823957329719779410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7101694739527706614.post-5666461748753168022010-04-03T01:32:54.737+01:002010-04-03T01:32:54.737+01:00Would've been Nick Evans at Quins I assumeWould've been Nick Evans at Quins I assumeRedYetihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13317340168944542560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7101694739527706614.post-25733321225787980392010-04-03T01:32:28.323+01:002010-04-03T01:32:28.323+01:00I believe the reason for the blood was that blood ...I believe the reason for the blood was that blood substitutions are reversible, and allow a player already taken off to come back on. Williams had to be bleeding otherwise the kicker (whose name I've forgotten) who had already been subbed wouldn't have been allowed to temporarily replace him.RedYetihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13317340168944542560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7101694739527706614.post-20194412842062730142010-04-02T14:21:33.065+01:002010-04-02T14:21:33.065+01:00Dean Richards was emense for England and Leicester...Dean Richards was emense for England and Leicester and has been a good coach for Quins. The blood thing was pretty stupid - I mean if you are going to fake an injury for substitution purposes then just start limping. I have limped off at club level convincingly surely our professional players can manage to get of the park without resorting to Hammer Horror sfx.
I realise that a Heineken Cup match will get more scrutiny from officials, even more reason not to resort to the lame bloodfest.Geoffreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05823957329719779410noreply@blogger.com
